Royal Road
If you like stories about MMORPG, then the translated novels for Royal Road are worth looking over. It is similar in some respects to Sword Art Online in that it is based upon a VRMMORPG (virtual reality mmorpg) and covers both life in the game (mostly) andout of the game (some).

Some characters and guilds have clever or humourous names and might be usable for RO as well. But what I like is that this series of light novels doesn't take itself too seriously. Thus, the outlandish accomplishments of the main char are much more acceptable as compared to Sword Art Online.

Re: Royal Road
You have a stream link to sword art online? 500000 people talking about it, might as well give it a wtch
Re: Royal Road
I don't have any stream links since if I watch anime, it will be with purchased DVD or downloaded fansub files. I don't stream anime and barely watch any youtube videos as it is. There are two good places for downloaded files with the best being torrents and the other is IRC.
bittorrent: www .nyaa .eu/?page=search&cats=0_0&filter=0&term=sword+art+online
irc channels: #news @ rizon ; #nibl @ rizon
irc server: irc.rizon.net
IRC is not really for the general public since it is private users supplying files for other private users. It's why rizon anime downloaders generally haven't posted about it so that IRC doesn't get clogged up with casual downloaders (as opposed to fansub group staffers, hardcore anime fans, distro staff, etc). There's still enough bandwidth to accommodate public users, but most IRC regular users point the general public to use torrents instead. While some channels are private invite-only, various fansub groups do have their own channels where users can download fansubs if they can't get them any other way.
Both #NEWS and #NIBL are channels populated with many XDCC file-serving bots. #NIBL doesn't require an account to be registered with the Rizon service, so you can simply get onto Rizon with your IRC client such as mIRC. If you're new to IRC, just google "how to use IRC".
Once the client is on #NIBL (or #NEWS), just use "@find sword art 01" to look for the first episode of SAO. It's important to use a number or else too many results will be returned. Typically, to get a file on IRC:
@find sword art 01
/msg <xdcc servername here> xdcc send 1234
The @find gets you the name of the xdcc server with the file as well as the number of the file on that server to fetch (in this example the filenumber is 1234).
